City Council to Discuss Body Cameras for BPD

The Berkeley Police Department will soon get body cameras. The policy on how the cameras will be used will be discussed by City Council tomorrow at 5:30 pm. At this point, it looks like the cameras will simply be a police tool for spying and has NO benefit to the people. We will not be able to have access to these video documents and the police will use the cameras to record ANY interaction they feel like.
