Gone but not Forgotten: Justice for Oscar Grant
A Celebration of Life / A Vision of Hope / A Call to Action
Join family and friends of Oscar Grant on Friday, January 1st, 2010, to celebrate, mourn and commit to justice for Oscar and all the young people with him that night. Bring pictures, candles, flowers and mementos for Altars at both events.
2-4 pm – Vigil @ Fruitvale BART Station
Come celebrate Oscar Grant’s life, contribute to the altar, hear from spiritual speakers, or witness in silence.
6-11 pm – Gathering @ Humanist Hall (390-27th St. near Broadway, Oakland)
Continued reflection through music, spoken word, video and other arts, including activists who’ve worked long and hard in the struggle. Performers include Ise Lyfe, Boots, Cat and many others.
